I am a Survivor

As of July 13th 2015 I am a 5 year breast cancer survivor!! I was diagnosed with Stage 1 ER+ breast cancer in 2010 at the age of 32. I had a bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction, 4 rounds of chemo and now on hormone therapy. I am currently an Illinois State Leader for Young Survival Coalition. My goal is to connect survivors in the area and help them find the peer support they need.

I also started a website and cancer survivorship organization focused on life after cancer. It is called THE DRAGONFLY ANGEL SOCIETY - CANCER SURVIVORSHIP.

The goal of the website is to pull together all sorts of resources, inspirational stories, books, etc, that helped me and I hope they will help others on their survivorship path.
